Synopsis:

Ahmed Helmy plays Magdy, an obese man in search for a woman who can see past his ‘unsightly’ exterior. When Magdy reconnects with his high school crush Dina, a race against the clock begins to shed his extra pounds in an attempt to gain the self-confidence needed to make a positive impression.

Notes:

X-Large won many regional awards including the “Best Movie” prize, actor Ahmed Helmy won “Best Actor”, while Sherief Arafa won the “Best Director” award. X-Large has become Helmy's top hit, grossing more than $5 million at the Egyptian box office since its release. The movie also topped the box office charts in terms of revenues among the other released movies at the time.
